Smoked salmon bagel - kinda pricey 9.99 but yumm Very complementary to my iced latte. On point!

Delicious iced lattes! They also put espresso ice cubes in their drinks so they don't get watered down (brilliant!). Their club sandwich is scrumptious & their wrap is pretty good too.

This place is vibrant, delicious and friendly to strangers. The outdoor seating is perfect, and the coffee and beer selection is constantly being updated. I heart Serda's

So let me start off by saying that I just recently moved here from Houston, TX and found this coffee shop a week ago. Since then I've been there 4 more times.....and I am currently contemplating whether or not I want to go again tomorrow; however I'm a college student....and on a budget, so id like to not go broke. Breakfast bagel sandwiches are the BOM.com ! I got a ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a wheat bagel (Delish!) They are very generous with their portions and worth every penny. However, their iced lattes are where it's at. Iced latte with coffee ice cubes (what?!) and Irish creme syrup.....to die for. If I could afford it, I would probably come here every day....and sometimes twice a day. Definitely my go to spot for coffee from now on. Forget boring chains like Starbucks (no offense to all the Starbucks lovers out there) but the coffee here is just so fresh tasting and has been on point with each visit. Plus who doesn't love local businesses?? Love it here!

Serda's was a pleasant surprise in the heart of Mobile. I'll be honest, upon walking in, I was more prepared to have the theme music to Friends chime in and Gunther take my order than to be asked if I wanted coffee ice cubes. Let me explain: Serda's is a picture perfect "coffee shop," a place where your favorite characters from a '90s sitcom would come and order a caramel frappé with extra whip and chocolate drizzle, not a place where you can get down and nerdy about trends in 3rd wave coffee. And while I'm sure the cappuccinos here are 1/3 foam and not all at reminiscent to a flat white, my americanos each day were absolutely delicious, the array of central and south american bean options were impressive, and the coffee knowledge (especially the import business) was vast. Furthermore, it's just a cool, centrally located little meeting place with fast and free wifi and plenty of seating. Again, for a self-professed coffee snob like myself, Serda's was an absolutely wonderful surprise and did the trick on multiple occasions during my short stay in Mobile.

This is a pretty good restaurant. Sir Da has him all kinds of good stuff. You can get you a hot coffee from all different places in Mexico like Brazil and Kenyer. You can get you a milkshake. You can get you a egg. Don't nobody care. I got me a peeny which is a chicken sandwich. And some chips. Lays. Regular lays yella bag. I had to get me a orange juice cause they didn't have no cokecola but it was still pretty good. Some of the people that goes here has weird drawings and holes on they self but hey! we is all human beans we is all eaters.

I love the the atmosphere of this place! i should have tried this place sooner! I loved my frozen beverage! It had shots of espresso in it! Delicious! Hope everyone can try this place out! I love the selection of the coffees they had offered. I even bought a concentrated version of their peabody coffee. Hmmmm...yumm...its "rocket fuel." I hope everyone will give this place a try. Its always great to support your local coffee shop.

I've always enjoyed their coffee but this was the first time I've ordered lunch from Serda's. The Roast Beef Panini was very good even after reheating because I had let it get cold.

Awesome atmosphere, great service, yummy bruschetta and don't miss the original pole the fireman slid down!

This place has a lot of positives......the menu seems good, the location is in downtown and a really cool place. The cost seems reasonable, so nor, ally I might give it a higher rating, but the girl at the counter was not very impressive. Seemed more interested in getting my money and moving me though then ensuring I have a good experience. This lace could be great with better trained staff.

Hip place. Great coffee! Mediterranean wrap is delicious. But... Don't buy the cinnamon bun :-(

Love this little coffee shop.... The breakfast and choice of coffee's were wonderful.

I was really disappointed in this place. I love trying out local coffee shops. It was a short walk from our hotel and guests we were staying with wanted to try it out. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich and the cashier recommend a flavored latte for me. My husband got a muffin and a plain black roast. The prices were a bit high. I wanted a bottled water and it was $4.00. We opted for a free cup to fill up at their soda machine. My bagel was soggy and rubbery. It had clearly been microwaved. I could not even eat half. My coffee tasted way too much like a chemical syrup. My husbands muffin was decent and so was the coffee. Decent...not great. The big kicker was when I went to get some ice and water from the soda machine. I am big on cleanliness and I was a bit shocked with their soda machine. It was filthy and the area where the ice comes out had MOLD on the inside and out!!!!!!! So....needless to say, I did not get water. I left frustrated, hungry, and thirsty.

Awesome coffee( better than Starbucks) comfy seating, great music, great service. I ordered a Caramel Macchiato and sat down for a few hours while I studied. It has an awesome atmosphere. There are bathrooms and plenty of merchandise. And what really hooked me was THE GELATO. Not only do they sell coffee, but the best gelato I've had in America. This is not a shop you want to pass by. GO.

    (5)
  • Christoffer C.

Had a cup of coffee (black that is) and a serving of cactuspear gelato. Now the coffee was not good, the gelato and the atmosphere and the where though. What was wrong with the coffee you ask? the lack of flavor.

  • Sarah H.

Best cranberry, white chocolate scone I have ever eaten in my life!!! So soft and not crumbly like most scones. Was on business in Mobile and ate one for 10 mornings straight! Brought my coworker one and she instantly fell in love. I'm telling you--this is a must try!!!!

    (5)
  • Ceci Q.

This place made taste buds dance! I came here for the coffee and decided I was hungry enough to grab brunch. Thinking that a wrap might be light enough, I ordered the Sante Fe wrap. Now I was hoping this wrap would have some corn because of the name, but never the less when the food came out it was delicioso. The wrap was a hot cheesy combo of chicken and Monterey Jack cheese. It kind of melted in my mouth. And the coffee was excellent -- totally lifted me out of my morning fog. Thanks guys!

It's 9 months since I last visited this establishment. Nothing has changed which is a good thing!!! Ordered an iced coffee coffee ice cubes. Grilled cheese had by my BF and Asian salad for me. Food was okay kinda nice that there were more options then muffins. Outside seating for my mutt. I will forever stop on our way to Florida from TX.

This independent coffee shop makes great coffee, I am a coffee snob so I don't give out 5 stars to every coffee shop. You can taste the quality of the coffee on your first sip.

    (5)
  • Brion S.

Fresh roasted beans. Friendly staff. Got a sweet fix. Best scone I ever had. It was more cookie than dry scone. And they provide Wifi, so you can leave a nice review for them.

    (5)
  • Trey E.

Actual Ethiopian beans. Check! Bagel and lox sandwich. Check! French pressed coffee. Check! I am always on the lookout for quality beans and Mobile has been a surprisingly great source. I happened upon this location thanks to Yelp (and the close proximity to my hotel) and it has become my go to for breakfast and coffee all week. The menu is pretty extensive and based on what I've had so far, I'm eager to explore it a bit further.

    (4)
  • Dylan M.

The atmosphere is hard to beat. I love the smell of the fresh roasting coffee beans and the noise of the city outside as well as the conversation inside. I come here to read and study all the time. If you like coffee, try their Guatemalan or Honduran French Press! Excellent fresh roast. And don't forget to sign up for their rewards program. It's somewhat similar to Starbucks Gold program but it's done via text and an online account (no app) but as soon as you sign up its a immediate $5 reward!

    (5)
  • Michael E.

Its a great little coffee place, right on Royal St. and close to a lot of the better hotels downtown. The really cool thing is they have a full bar so you can get a few drinks and hang out if your not in the mood to go to a bar bar. Their bagels were a little on the stale side but that could easily be a one-off. Every time I go to Mobile we always get a coffee at Serda's and you should to. The people that hang out there are always friendly so if you have questions about the City its a good place to ask.

    (4)
  • Heather U.

Pretty good food and coffee. the large iced double dirty chai needed more chai; it tasted more like an iced latte with a splash of chai. The chicken wrap was good! Food comes with a pickle and chips. Don't expect a big pickle, it's just one long deli slice style of pickle.

  • Ron D.

If you go in the morning, the coffee is good compared to most, and the girls behind the counter do a great job. The few muffins they have are strangled in cellophane wrapping, I bought one the first day of my business trip, and still have it a week later, it will probably survive as long as the pyramids. (For muffins go to Mostly Muffins just a few steps away). If you go in the evening, big mistake... They replace the efficient morning staff with guys that pathetically try to look and act like hipsters, and can barely manage serving just a few customers. You get greeted with "ya man", give your order, pay your money, no thanks or anything. Then sit 4 feet away with the other 2 customers and wait. Watch the faux-hipsters wander around texting for 15 minutes, then the faux-hipster on the other end of the counter mc'ing a trivia game with nobody announces, "I still have a wrap waiting here". You go pick it up, ask them how long it's been there and hear "about 15 minutes", ask them to reheat it, get a lot of hems and haws, they reheat it, and it turns out to be tiny with a tiny bag of chips. That was my experience, but if that's what you like, this is your place!

  • Audrey W.

Every time I come to Mobile I have to come here for coffee at least once. Their lattes are perfect and they have a delicious selection of food items from breakfast sandwiches to wraps to gelato and many other goodies.

    (5)
  • Sandi F.

Yelp has this as being closed on Sundays but they open at 8 am on Sundays... FYI. Coffee is as good as Starbucks, very similar feel. However, they also have great sandwiches, a full bar with a great beer selection, and homemade gelato! Open until 11 pm on Saturday night... I was quite impressed. We stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street and visited here each morning for coffee, and each evening for a drink or gelato.

    (5)
  • C J.

The wrap was sloppy and scorched. The coffee was really weak. And all of this for the high price seemed a no-win for me. Maybe it is the best in Mobile, but that doesn't speak well for the town. I'd give an A for effort, but execution gets two thumbs down.

    (2)
  • John M.

Terrific spot to enjoy the Mardi Gras parades. Try the Royal Flush. A tall boy PBR and shot of whiskey for $4. Too much fun. Ask for Zack, great service.

    (5)
  • Nanette S.

Good coffee and great gelato, don't bother with the food. Also, the staff have zero personalities. I've never come by in the evening for a beer, but I hear that the atmosphere is better than day time.

    (3)
  • Eta M.

The coffee is very fresh, the gelato is good. Sandwiches over-priced and nothing special. I say get yourself a cup of drip and some ice cream. Not so crazy about the service. I didn't like waiting on the baristas to finish their conversation before I was served, which happened both times when I tried to order. I could have even let that slide if the espresso was good enough. Which, I couldn't tell you because they slaughtered it so bad. A 2 oz drink was served to me in a 12 oz cup. Then it was over-diluted when I asked for a splash of cream. There was no crema and it was cold by the time I got it. I was horrified. Fortunately, their drip coffee really is worth trying. The french press was a bonus, too. The art was cool, seating cozy. It has potential.

LOVE the door sign! they take good care of you at Serda's. I love coming here to talk over breking my diet. you wanna bear claw? you walked 45 minutes yesterday and went up 38 stairs today! you get a bear claw gurl raaar lol. have not been here a while after I moved to California but it is one of those places I like to think about as existing only back Home. I like that. free wifi yall!

  • Julie L.

Cute atmosphere, but typical of downtown locations, parking can be a pain. My iced chai latte was okay. The gelato was good, but the portion was small for the price, even by gelato standards (scoops are generally quite a bit smaller than you'd see at an ice cream shop, but this was REALLY small). The floors could have used a good sweeping as well, especially since it was not very busy when I was there.

Great place for a coffee, snack, or light meal. We stopped here before checking in at the Battlehouse. There is great art from local artists that adorn he place. Cool ambience to chill and hangout and there's a full bar as well! Gelato looks delicious. My party all had the panini. Turkey Artichoke was on point but all of the sandwiches were runny . I recommend getting the potato salad as your side, which tasted great. The staff was also friendly. We had a gift card and there were problems with it but they were very patient and figured it out. Great pit-stop if you are in downtown Mobile. Thanks for the hospitality.

    (4)
  • Phillip L.

I love the atmosphere, and my caramel macchiato was 5 star quality, but my roast beef sandwich was WAY over powered with the horseradish, and they didn't have ajus to dip it in.

    (3)
  • Tim L.

Tried their hot mocha, hot chocolate, and iced hazelnut mocha. All of them tasted amazingly great. Their products were full of the roasted flavor, rich, and interesting to drink, while remain balanced in their sweetness, bitterness, and acidity. The interior also felt comfortable, and relaxing. The noise level is just right for a relaxing afternoon coffee. I would recommend this shop to all my coffee lover friends, and I won't go to other mainstream coffee shops if I have them in my area.

  • Kay P.

Probably the best tasting coffee in Mobile. We used to visit once or twice a day when we lived in downtown Mobile. The staff is friendly and laid back. I've never encountered bad service here. It is a good place to meet up with friends because this cozy, comfortable shop has something for everyone. We love getting their coffee and espresso beverage. Don't forget there's yummy, big selection of gelatos too, in addition to baked goods, soups and sandwiches. I think they have some beers, cocktails and spirits. What makes this place really stand out for me is the coffee sourced from all over the world which is roasted carefully on site. I also LOVE that they support local artist. You would not be bored with their ever-changing array of paintings and artworks on the walls. I believe that vast majority of them, if not all, are one of a kind, created by local artists. You can buy them or contact the artist if you happen to find a piece you like! What a wonderful way to get involved with local art scene and support these talented artists. Serda's Coffee also hosts various entertainment events in the evening (trivia night, song writers night, bingos, live music, etc.). I find it fantastic that it is non-smoking environment inside the shop. Pretty sure you can smoke while seated outside though.

this is my favorite place in lower Alabama! coffee, sweet treats, alcohol, wraps, bagels. everyone has been nice and my orders have been correct and brought out quickly LOVE LOVE LOVE

  • Emily V.

Cute place! I was in town for a meeting and swung by one day for breakfast. The smoked salmon bagel was very yummy. For a breakfast item that can be pretty boring, there's was very good and high quality. I also enjoyed my soy latte. Apparently they have live music and entertainment events here, as well as a bar and gelato for later hours. They also have art for sale on the walls. A great, independent coffee shop, worth checking out when you're in downtown Mobile.

    (5)
  • Andrew E.

The only reason I am giving four stars, instead of five, is because the coffee is very weak. I purchased a cup of dark roast, but what I got reminded me of gas station coffee consumed by people who do not appreciate real coffee. The iced mochas with coffee cubes, however, are the best around. I also love the atmosphere and friendly staff.

    (4)
  • Josh R.

Outstanding mocha latte! I stop here about half the time I'm passing through Mobile. It's just a few minutes off of the 10. Parking is never an issue unless there is a parade downtown. They have great sandwiches which aren't too filling and a huge and ever-changing selection of gelato! They also give a good military discount.

    (5)

Definitely should be on the to do list while on Mobile. A found the coffee and service to be good compared to what I read on other reviews.

  • Kristy H.

I had breakfast and lunch here several times over a three day stay downtown. Firstly, there is no other nearby coffee option if you're at a conference at the convention center, so if you're there with an especially large group, expect to wait in line for even the simplest orders. I don't think they'd been made aware of the number of attendees they'd have in town (or, obviously, historians' proclivities for coffee consumption) but each meal I had here, from a grab and go breakfast to soup and sandwich was delicious. So enjoyable, in fact, that I never once minded the wait.

    (4)
  • Julia S.

Ice coffee with espresso ice cubes was awesome! Capachino was a little weak and their chai latte was too sweet for my taste. Their gelato is very good. Quirky on the inside with some nice local art hanging on the walls. Service is hipstery.

Cool little coffee shop! I just got drip coffee and can't comment much there (it was fine), but the gelato was good! They also have a full bar which I didn't partake in but really like the idea of! They had a pretty decent live band on a Wednesday night... Can't ask for much better!

Serda's is great. When I am working from our Mobile office, it's the perfect stop for a morning coffee (love the ice cube choice) and a snack. It has outdoor seating, if you have the time, and friendly staff. Plenty of space if you need to meet with other people. I have checked out the lunch options and they look good, but haven't tried them yet, Next time!

    (4)
  • Heith H.

The food was very tasty but honestly a little on the small side for the price. Our Cafe Americanos were very weak but after a nice conversation with the ladies behind the counter they promptly revved them up for us. Despite these small hick-ups our overall experience was a positive one.

On business to Mobile, I found Serba's and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the staff helpful and patient, and the coffee top-notch. I didn't get the chance to eat any menu items, but the fare looked fresh and tasty. The prices were reasonable, too. I certainly will make an effort to get back to this local gem. Check their website for live music and shows.

We were in town for the night and stopped there for a coffee. Their latte are excellent and we came back for another one later during that day. The staff is helpful and polite. The ambiance is relaxing. I would definitively go back again.

We swooped in for some coffees to go, while passing through, and soon found out just how good this spot was. Hot coffee was on point. The iced coffees were the bomb. We were presented with the option of coffee cubes, and obviously accepted. In other words, the flavor was amplified as time elapsed. If you're looking for a tasty, well balanced coffee beverage, this spot will not do you wrong.

Really like the gelato. soups and sandwiches are the best. Love the Chili. They have entertainment many nights. So nice that the help comes over on their off days. Very nice place to surf the net and enjoy a coffee.

COFFEE ICE CUBES?! Hell yes. Also, the iced coffee is delicious, they have trivia on Tuesday nights, and I spied some gelato toward the back. Comfy leather chairs toward the front too.

    (5)
  • Rhona F.

Since our hotel didn't have a coffee shop we decided to try one down the street. The coffee was good but the pastries only so so and the butter was so hard we had to microwave it. The inside of the microwave was dirty (ugh). Would not go back.

    (2)
  • Kim M.

I love the gelato, coffee, and food. The staff can be a bit pretentious. They turned me away an hour before they closed one night because their friends were waiting for them to clean and close.

    (3)
  • William B.

Their coffee and food are very good and a nice escape from Starbucks. It has a small bar that offers a decent selection of beer. A good place to sit back in quiet and read a book.

    (4)
  • Brian C.

The iced white chocolate mocha with espresso ice cubes is amazing. I could sit in here listening to music and drink this all day long. The breakfast burritos looked good too. Definitely going to be a regular stop for me next time I'm in Mobile

  • Anna R.

Serda's Coffee is a great place to go relax on a cold, windy day. In fact, it's so relaxed that you wouldn't even mind going there on a beautiful warm day. The coffee is delicious. Definitely some of the best I've had in Mobile (but not necessarily in the world). The food is so-so, but I usually go for the gelato anyway. They have a great selection, and each flavor is delicious. There are even fun open mike nights and things that you can go to with your friends on a Friday of Saturday night. Granted every time I've been there and there's been a band there, it was usually populated with high school kids listening to a high school kid band, but the idea is nice, right?

  • Rose S.

Not my usual coffee house, but if I am downtown, I am THERE. Probably the best Chai Latte in town. If I lived downtown area I would be a regular.

  • Jacob W.

Stopped in here before our cruise, and I'm glad we did, because the coffee on the cruise was freakin horrible. Stopped back in Serda's the second we got off the boat. The iced coffee with ice cubs made of frozen coffee is simply genius.

    (5)
  • Erika N.

I grabbed a quick breakfast here before flying out of Mobile, and while I enjoyed their coffee, their breakfast burrito was pretty ordinary for the price. I hit up a lot of coffee shops in my travels, and this one just wasn't very memorable. I would have liked to have experienced Serda's at night with live music.

    (2)
  • brent t.

Serda's has the best coffee and friendliest staff in mobile. If you like iced coffee you have to get frozen coffee ice cubes. I mean really why didn't anyone think if that before. Daily bar specials are great, really good prices on booze.

Yummiest mascarpone gelato! Very comfy laid back place not too crowded and good coffee for a reasonable price

    (4)
  • King S.

Parking is troublesome but is to be expected seeing the location is downtown Mobile. The gelato is perfect and also had a average cinnamon roll but I went for the Gelato and it was nothing less than perfect. Many flavors were available but I started with the Tahitian Vanilla.

  • Gabrielle P.

Pretty low key place on a Saturday afternoon. Chai was good. Americano was iffy. The staff didn't know what something in the dessert case was (there was also no price on it). GREAT art on the walls and they have a full bar- pretty cool in my book. I didn't care for the employees though. I had to get out of there because they were depressing me. I can see this being a great place for a college student to study all day. Lots of room and tables.

this place has it ALL and with a smile! They have coffee, gelato, lunch stuff, a small bar area, a large area in the back for big groups.... love this place!

Good sandwiches in a nice laid back place. Nice selection of food. Beer and wine are available. Coffee is fine but they get over eager with syrups if you order them.

Not my usual coffee house, but if I am downtown, I am THERE. Probably the best Chai Latte in town. If I lived downtown area I would be a regular.

Stopped in here before our cruise, and I'm glad we did, because the coffee on the cruise was freakin horrible. Stopped back in Serda's the second we got off the boat. The iced coffee with ice cubs made of frozen coffee is simply genius.

Had a cup of coffee (black that is) and a serving of cactuspear gelato. Now the coffee was not good, the gelato and the atmosphere and the where though. What was wrong with the coffee you ask? the lack of flavor.

Best cranberry, white chocolate scone I have ever eaten in my life!!! So soft and not crumbly like most scones. Was on business in Mobile and ate one for 10 mornings straight! Brought my coworker one and she instantly fell in love. I'm telling you--this is a must try!!!!

  • Mason M.

GO.

Pretty good food and coffee. the large iced double dirty chai needed more chai; it tasted more like an iced latte with a splash of chai. The chicken wrap was good! Food comes with a pickle and chips. Don't expect a big pickle, it's just one long deli slice style of pickle.

Fresh roasted beans. Friendly staff. Got a sweet fix. Best scone I ever had. It was more cookie than dry scone. And they provide Wifi, so you can leave a nice review for them.

Every time I come to Mobile I have to come here for coffee at least once. Their lattes are perfect and they have a delicious selection of food items from breakfast sandwiches to wraps to gelato and many other goodies.

Terrific spot to enjoy the Mardi Gras parades. Try the Royal Flush. A tall boy PBR and shot of whiskey for $4. Too much fun. Ask for Zack, great service.

I love the atmosphere, and my caramel macchiato was 5 star quality, but my roast beef sandwich was WAY over powered with the horseradish, and they didn't have ajus to dip it in.

Good coffee and great gelato, don't bother with the food. Also, the staff have zero personalities. I've never come by in the evening for a beer, but I hear that the atmosphere is better than day time.

Cool little coffee shop! I just got drip coffee and can't comment much there (it was fine), but the gelato was good! They also have a full bar which I didn't partake in but really like the idea of! They had a pretty decent live band on a Wednesday night... Can't ask for much better!

Ice coffee with espresso ice cubes was awesome! Capachino was a little weak and their chai latte was too sweet for my taste. Their gelato is very good. Quirky on the inside with some nice local art hanging on the walls. Service is hipstery.

The food was very tasty but honestly a little on the small side for the price. Our Cafe Americanos were very weak but after a nice conversation with the ladies behind the counter they promptly revved them up for us. Despite these small hick-ups our overall experience was a positive one.

Since our hotel didn't have a coffee shop we decided to try one down the street. The coffee was good but the pastries only so so and the butter was so hard we had to microwave it. The inside of the microwave was dirty (ugh). Would not go back.

Serda's has the best coffee and friendliest staff in mobile. If you like iced coffee you have to get frozen coffee ice cubes. I mean really why didn't anyone think if that before. Daily bar specials are great, really good prices on booze.

Parking is troublesome but is to be expected seeing the location is downtown Mobile. The gelato is perfect and also had a average cinnamon roll but I went for the Gelato and it was nothing less than perfect. Many flavors were available but I started with the Tahitian Vanilla.
