Date night w/ my beautiful wife.. First time to here. Service was outstanding. Servers and wait staff was prompt and polite. For appetizer we went with the crabtini. Can't go wrong, big chunks of crab meat. Specials were grouper and Chilean sea bass. I went with the grouper, pecan crusted w/ brown sauce. Was delightful. Wife went with the petite filet w/ shrimp was also delightful. Our side was the sweet potato casserole... OMG!!! That was amazing. Best ever. Don't get me wrong the dinner was good but the casserole was simply out of this world.. Passed on dessert because we were stuffed after all that.. We will definitely be back.

Out of all the "high end" chain steak places, Ruth's Chris is definitely my favorite. I ordered the jambalaya and got a filet mignon with asparagus. Finally a meal I can enjoy. I like that buttery feeling and taste on the steak. Yum! Get there.

Visited Ruth's Chris with some friends and it was good which is as usual. One can never go wrong with Great service, solid steaks, outstanding sides, and very good desserts. If you are looking for a great steak experience willing to spend a bit more than Outback or Longhorn, Ruth's Chris is a good spot.

5-18-2015 Our party of 9 was seated promptly. Food was great, and all was served as ordered. Troy, our waiter, was helpful, friendly, and efficient. When we bragged on his skills he laughingly said "this wasn't his first rodeo". The restaurant manager came by our table to check on service and welcome us. We will go back.

It was a lovely time! Our reservations were at the bar during the Alabama game and our service could not have been better. We were running late (my fault) and a quick call pushed back our time. When we arrived immediately we were seated with out area already prepared for dining. The food was spot-on as always although I just picked at the appetizers ordered. If I was a big eater of meat I would push this to a regular five-starer. Never have I been let down dining here and last night was not exception.

My wife and I have dined at several different Ruth Chris restaurants, the Mobile, AL. location ranks in the top 3. The service is always spot on, they truly go above and beyond. While it is a chain restaurant, the service and food are always consistent. During this visit my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Upon being seated we were asked which type of water did we want? Tap, bottled, or sparkling water?? Then fresh warm french bread was served. Next was cocktails, my wife ordered a glass of wine from there extensive menu and I ordered a Crown Royal and Coke, they serve the Coke on the side. For an appetizer, we had mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat. We both had the wedge salad, mine with ranch dressing! We both ordered filet mignon that was cooked perfect and arrived at the table sizzling. We also had potatoes au gratin and grilled asparagus for sides. We couldn't eat it all, once those were boxed up for take home. The manager gave us a complimentary dessert which was vanilla ice cream with chocolate cake. It arrived at the table with a lit sparkler in it. The dessert had the attention of everybody in the dining room. Sabrina was our server, she was attentive but not overbearing. I would definitely recommend that you ask for her. They think of every single detail like if you are wearing black your sever will swap the white napkin out with a black one so you won't get lint on your clothing. If you have problems seeing the menu because you forgot your reading glasses, not to worry they bring a variety of glasses for you to borrow! Awesome!! Go ahead treat yourself and your spouse!

I have been going here for years. The staff are always friendly , the service is top notch and the food is outstanding. I have never had a bad experience here. If you can, request a private booth for and extra special experience. This place always goes the extra mile for their customers for instance on Christmas they give out these little bell necklaces to people when they walk in the door and my personal favorite is when they come to the table and scrape the crumbs off it. I love that. The steak may not be the best I have ever eaten but they get 5 stars on my rating system for the overall experience. Service 5 out of 5 Food 5 out of 5 Cleanliness 5 out of 5

I've been to Ruth Chris all over the country from San Diego to Florida and this one is in the top 5. The manager checked in on us several times to be sure everything was fine. All our steaks were cooked to perfection and my Rare Bird Bourbon was poured to the top. Great experience.

Great food, great facilities and the Waiter was accommodating and always available without being intrusive. Timing of the appetizers, salads, main course and desserts was faultless. Each course was delightfully delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The meal was enjoyed by all and we look forward to returning.

I've been to a number of Ruth's Chris and none are better than the one in Mobile. It starts with excellent service. Many of the servers are tenured employees that have been employed by Ruth's Chris for a number of years. The food and decor are excellent. The bar area is excellent with a large HD TV to watch any sporting event.

A bit pricey! The food wasn't bad, but rather save the dough and go to Longhorn. The wait was somewhat lengthy too.

Excellent food - the flavor of the steaks and the sides (creames spinach and mushrooms) were delicious and generous. My only problem was the lighting in the restaurant -- we were eating in the bar area since one of my friends is a smoker, no smell there but it was so dark I couldn't see the "fat pockets" on my ribeye which slowed me down and made my meal somewhat of an unpleasant adventure. Btw, they serve lunch on Fridays.

While it's hard not to like Ruth Chris's, I usually go out of my way to eat somewhere else. I can make a pretty mean steak at home on the grill, while there's lots of food I wouldn't even attempt at other restaurants. This visit was really exceptional, however. Food was just OK for a Ruth Chris - my supplier enjoyed his steak, and my spinach salad was just right. The French Onion soup was pretty poor, however - small, no cheese overflowing the edge of the bowl, not much of a crust. However, the service was the shining star. The french press coffee was poured into pre-heated cups to ensure it was piping hot. Even better, when I asked about whether they had cigars for sale, the manager sent a guy out to the mall to pick up a couple for us. Truly exceptional service. We enjoyed the smoke at the bar, which is a rare treat as most states don't allow this sort of thing. Kudos to the manager, service staff and Hunter who picked up the cigars.

The food here is wonderful. I ate here a couple of years ago but the experience was memorable. I've had the fillet mignon and asparagus. My friend had the lamb chops which were also good. The service is great. We went to celebrate her 50th birthday. I don't remember the dessert but I remember that it was good. When I made the reservations they asked if we were coming for a special event and I told them about her birthday, they delivered balloons to the table. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Since I don't normally eat at such classy restaurants I felt a bit awed with the service and marvolous food. Expensive meal and soooo worth it.

So I've been to several Ruth Chris Steak Houses in California, Arizona...and now Mobile, AL. I've never really tried any high end restaurants in Mobile so I expected the experience to go either way. The decor outside is pretty cute with all the lightings. When you go in, you immediately get greetings from the attendants. You get seated quickly, and the service is very polite and friendly...not too pretentious like some California locations. Since it was on a weekday evening, we thought the restaurant will be empty but surprisingly it was full. The atmosphere was very relaxed but with class and southern hospitality. The food was very nice from filet mignon to the wine. Our experience was so nice that we would definitely go back again. *Food = very nice *Service = friendly and relaxed *Price = expected *Atmosphere = very nice and classy

I have heard great things about Ruth's Chris steakhouse, I was a little disappointed. I made a reservation and when we arrived the hostess went to find a table. A man approached us and asked if we'd had time to make a reservation, a tad condescending. We were seated at a table so crowded with dishes, we had no room for the drinks they later served us. Worse with the bread. Despite telling them none of us drink, it was much later that the wines glasses were removed which gave us a little more room. The candle, in the middle of the table, dripped wax. I had to try to move our drinks to keep wax from splashing into them. The waiter seemed a little hesitant, but did a nice job. I have food allergies and he read the ingredients to me, when I asked if my allergens were present in certain foods. Super! The salad was suppose to be "hearts of romaine". Generally, the color is a lovely light green. The salad was so dark, I had to look closely to make sure it wasn't spinach, which I'm allergic to. It was also soggy, like the dressing had been put on it too early. There were about 3 extremely thin slices of red onion, a few olives, and a teaspoon of feta cheese, definitely not worth the cost, about $8. The ribeye was $41 and not worth that either. The meat was a bit chewy, and very thin. The taste was nice. My husband and our guest, ordered the filet. They were huge, and they really enjoyed them. Although there is not actually a kids menu, our waiter suggested chicken tenders. Good call. My child is 5. They brought out a heaping plate of fries and chicken tenders. However, he liked my steak and mashed potatoes. So it couldn't have been that bad!

Call it cliche - but I've never had a bad meal at Ruth's Chris. Nothing exciting - they don't take chances. But they consistently deliver a great meal - regardless of whether you are eating in Mobile or Phoenix. You never worry about taking anyone to Ruth's Chris if you have an important dinner. It will be good. You'll pay for it.........but it will be good. The lettuce wedge with bleu cheese shouldn't be as good as it is because it is so simple - but it really is wonderful and don't miss the creamed spinach - classic.
