In the mood for raw oysters, the Hubs and I tried this relatively new sports bar styled restaurant. (Pauli's is closed now, and Jefferson's is just west of Pauli's where a Mexican restaurant was previously located). So, the convenient location check box was checked. This is a franchise restauant that started out, focusing on wings. The menu is heavy on traditional bar food: burgers, wings, nachos, salads, chili, onion rings, etc. They do have oysters prepared several ways. We opted to start out with a dozen raw. I love white wine with oysters and when I asked the young lady who was our server, she said they had the following wines: "white zin,and mer LOT" which struck me as so sad. First of all, she was not taught how to pronounce merlot and secondly, when I inquired about perhaps a Chardonnay or a Pinot Grigio, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "no we don't have that." So, Blah: oysters and bad wine. This is how our evening started. Poor server was the "table stalking" type, asking us repeatedly if we had decided on what we wanted to order for our main meal. It was awkward. We were unwinding from work and did not want to be rushed. Clueless. Sooooo, oysters arrive and we are not given plates to go with oysters, just 1 common plate to dump the shells on. No horseradish is provided (nor were knives ever provided during the entire meal) and cocktail sauce is pre-prepared (i.e., from a bottle). Of the 4 oysters I ate, 3 (which had good flavor) had small pieces of shell left in them and 1 tasted terribly old, with a rigid texture, blah. (more sips of merlot). The Hubs accidentally spilled glass of Merlot and no one came around to help us clean up the massive mess. Thankfully, they have a roll of paper towels on each table, or we would have been running around to get enough napkins to clean up the mess. :-/ The Hubs got some wings and a salad and I got the salad topped with boneless chicken wings. Our dinners were delivered staggered, leaving us to each eat, basically, alone. I had to ask several times for a glass of water and water refills. In summary, this place is much like Buffalo Wing Wings in Madison Mall, only a tad bit better. Suggestions to this restaurant are: IMPROVE SERVICE: train staff to be more attentive, and less intrusive, and train them in the basics (provide "set ups" for each person and teach them how to pronounce the types of wine); add at least one white wine choice; get more comfy seats for the high tops; and add tv-trivia or some type of console game to go with the sports theme. I was happy to see that the restaurant was fairly full of patrons (and it was early in the week) and the patio looks like it would be an enjoyable place to sit, weather permitting. Guys will likely dig the outfits the servers wear: restaurant t-shirts and short shorts. (Those who are a little chunkier stuck with the same shirt paired with jeans). Overall a 2 out of 5 experience. I'll pick it over BWW, but am unlikely to go back.

Great wings! Service is great. I think it has been there awhile but we love it! We'll be back for sure. Prices are very reasonable and the girls that work there are very nice and seem to make it a point to remember you if you go a few times!

Awkward dinner experience. We wanted to try somewhere new for wings and figured that this restaurant had been open long enough where it would have gotten the hang of things. We walked in and there were a TON of waitresses, hostesses, etc. So many people for one small restaurant. We sat down and were greeted by one waitress, who didn't know very much about the beer menu, she had to ask the bartender about the beer selection. After our beer was delivered our order was taken by two entirely different girls,(one was training and they both awkwardly stood there writing down our order of 15 wings on a note pad at the same time. We thought they were joking!) My husband and I decided to split 15 wings, hot and turbo. The hot wings were fine, but the turbo was of the strangest tastes we had ever had. We thought turbo would mean just a step up from hot. It had a completely different and bad taste to it. I can't even describe it, my husband used the word "foul". We couldn't finish the "turbo" but did finish the hot. Maybe they gave us the wrong wings, not sure. But they were not edible. During the middle of our meal, not even close to being finished, another completely different girl came and tried to take our plates when we were clearly not finished. The French fries tasted like they were fried in the same oil as the wings, so they were not good either. The menu says that 15 wings come with 2 dressings, so we ordered one ranch and one blue cheese, the order came out with 2 ranches and one blue cheese. We were charged .$50 extra for a dressing we didn't order or use. We didn't bother complaining though. My husband ordered another beer and they brought the wrong one out to him. Then 2 other different girls took our check and check card and then another brought it back to us. Just really weird. I have never seen such confusion or lack of knowledge for simply waiting tables, for a pretty simple menu and restaurant concept. The waitresses all stayed huddled around one another in their rolled up shorts and sporty shoes and all did their hair the same...Just not quite sure what was going on in this restaurant. I guess we know now and probably won't be coming back.

I didn't know this place existed, but we saw it while driving by. Yelp didn't really say it was all that good, but we gave it a try anyway, and I'm glad we did. The fried pickles, corn nuggets, fried mushrooms, and wings were great. I don't eat oysters this far inland, but everything we ordered was good and the service was great.

Loved this place! A friend of ours has been wanting us to go for ages and it did not disappoint! We all ordered something different and it was all wonderful. Their philly cheese steak sandwich was amazing. LOVED the fried pickles... and of course the wings were great. Hubs had a burger & talked about it for days. We did go on a Tuesday night though, and it was trivia night. It was really loud & needless to say, we probably won't go on a Tuesday night again.

Decided to try somewhere new the other day. I was told the burgers and wings were good, which I love both. So I went on a Sunday after church. I ended up being in a group with about 11 people from church, I decided to try the Jefferson Burger with fries and what not. The burger was on point and the fries were seasoned perfectly and overall it was great. I loved how the place was setup with a lot of dollar bills to all the sporting decor inside.

Went there to watch football. The guy was nice enough to turn up the volume for us. Other than that, the bartender was an air head and seemed to not know much. One waitress even asked, why are you using that glass? And she replied, well I don't have anything else... I didn't order any food, but the person next to us did and it didn't look to good. Very small wings.

Terrible service. The waitress came to take our drink order and we waited for 10 minutes. The waitress never came back to the table with the beers or to take our order.

Been to Jeffersons 3 times because the location in Madison is very convenient. The third one was our last The service was terrible ! It took over a hour to receive our order. Manager came out and apologized but it was another 20 minutes before our food arrived. The restaurant was only about half full but our waitress claimed they were swamped. We would have left but they kept telling us the food would be out in just a few minutes. When the food did arrive my bone in wings were pretty good but my wifes boneless wings we not edible. So hard she could not cut them with a knife. I always like to see local restaurants do good but this one is not good at all. The only good thing I can say about Jeffersons is they have good beer specials.

As a native of Buffalo, NY I am a snob when it comes to wings, and Jefferson's is just like home! Big meaty wings, delicious sauce, fried crispy, as good as it gets. Great burgers, fries, etc. Great place to grab a bite to eat with friends and watch the game, or bring the family, the wait staff was great with my two year old!

I love Jefferson's wings. I prefer hot. Chicken wrap is delicious as is there burgers. Lots of tvs for your sporting pleasure. I would recommend this hole in the wall to anyone wanting an inexpensive meal and a sporting event to watch. The service was just what I would expect at this type of restaurant. Give it a try and you may find a new local hangout.
