Ok, so I was very weary about coming to this place due to the reviews. I have to say....they were wrong. The service was fantastic. The lady that helped me was very nice, helpful and friendly. The food was awesome. I am really picky about my pizza sauce. The sauce and pizza is great. I had the cheesy bread and pizza. The cheesy bread and sauce was great. Everything was clean and organized. LOVED IT!

I really love their spaghetti and meatballs. Their rolls look like cinnamon roll but they are very delicious in every bite. Plus, you get fresh pasta everyone you go there. The owner and employees are very customer courtesy at all time. Personally, it is the best pasta for a great price.

Love the lasagna and garlic rolls! My favorite authentic dish here! Also love the pizza slices and French fries.

I've loved this place since it was at its original location near Irondale. Just stopped by recently for a taste of their new location, and I still love it. Calzones, pizza rolls, pizza, stuffed pizza, spaghetti, manicotti, ravioli, and pretty much everything Italian. Never had anything I didn't like, and the price is great! Feed 2 for less than $20 is always a positive. And it really is great Italian, no matter what you choose.

Good food... But the cashier girl is not friendly at all. Whatever happened to service with a smile. And you can hear the kitchen staff arguing in the back. But like I said the food is decent and reasonable.

Alfredo's has been a favorite of mine for years. I'm only sad they are no longer in Crestwood. Order the Alfredo Special stuffed pizza. It's seriously one of the best things about living in Bham. I rarely get anything else because this is just too damn good to be unfaithful to.

Alfredo's is a good, solid place for an Italian meal. They have a nice selection of pizza, calzone, pasta dishes and sandwiches. Atmosphere is not great but there's only so much you can do with a former Krystal. It is well maintained & very clean with a few tv's. The food is good & seems freshly made, but nothing special. The big factor is the price. You can have a full meal here under $10! I had Chicken Parmesan that had a nice sized piece of chicken, side of spaghetti & 2 garlic rolls for $6.49. Add drink & tax for $8.76! So a solid choice if you don't get your expectations too high. With the price factored in this is a 4 star deal.

This place is impossible to miss from the road as it's a stand alone building with its obnoxiously lighted sign. The interior looks rough, like it's been a while since someone had done some maintenance. The service was great. The lady at the cashier was really patient with the customers ahead of me giving each of them specific recommendations and what she's tried even as the customer(s) kept changing their minds. I never sensed a moment of annoyance. I ordered the 16" half chicken pesto (grilled chicken, onion, mushroom, garlic, basil & olive oil) and half Alfredo Special (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green olives, and green peppers). The Alfredo Special flavor triumphed over the chicken pesto. Even though these flavors had two different sauces, as long as you ask that you don't mind them getting mixed up, they'll do it for you. I think this place would've gotten 4 stars if the chicken pesto had more flavor but that may have been my fault in asking for two pizza flavors of different sauces. Refrigerator test: Alfredo Special still retains its taste. The chicken in the chicken pesto has about the same flavor as the cardboard box it came in.

For some reason I have had a sudden need for a good Muffaletta sandwich, and since my normal restaurant for ordering such a thing out in Bessemer can't seem to answer the phone during posted store hours, I opted to try and find a new place. The best thing about their Muffaletta is that it isn't oily or greasy. The bread has sesame seeds which is good for authenticity, but it seemed a little dry but not from toasting. I felt that the ratio of bread to filling was a bit high (not enough filling) but may explain why it wasn't greasy. The olive salad topping was okay, but could have had a stronger olive flavor. The meat and cheese seemed to be okay. I'll have to dissect the next one to see what all they put on it. For some reason this sandwich comes with french fries (as do all their sandwiches). It seems strange to me to serve any Italian style sandwich with french fries (it would be like serving a Rubin with a side of Spaghetti), but whatever. My impression: a good, solid Muffaletta. Can't say I'm fanatical about it, but it would be a go to when having a muffaletta craving.

No wait to order. Cashier offered suggestions based on what I was thinking about. Minimal wait on food to table. Definitely freshly prepared/assembled and cooked. Food was good, not great. I had a Meat Calzone. Crust not overdone, toppings and cheese could have been distributed more evenly instead of pockets of just cheese and pockets of just meat. I don't remember the pasta salad having broccoli in it last time and I thought it did have feta. Still ok, not great. I preferred the prior recipe. I will be back, but not anticipating real soon.

I get a slice of cheese pizza at every pizza place and that is how I judge the quality, taste, etc. This slice of cheese pizza was mediocre. Not amazing. Not terrible. Good price for what you get.

I always get the primavera pasta (add artichoke) and love it! The cheesecake is also very good! Haven't tried much else on the menu yet, stuck on the primavera!

I really liked Alfredo's better at the former location. The food is still solid and very tasty- but not exciting (though the garlic rolls are oddly addicting). That said, I wouldn't turn up my nose at a meal here. The new location is in a former Krystal- so atmosphere has taken a major hit. It still feels like a Kyrystal- just in updated colours. You feel much more like you're in a fast food joint when you're, ya know, in a fast food joint.

Ordered the large special pizza for takeout. It was bland. I couldn't finish my second piece. The sauce was thin. The crust was clearly from a frozen piece of dough. It just wasn't good.

So this Alfredo's took over and converted an old Krystal's joint a year or so ago. I got a 16" vegetarian pizza and a large tossed salad (yes that is what the menu said :P) Total came out to around $22 and change incl tax. The interior of the joint reminded you of the a classic diner while playing Italian music and showing ESPN on the tvs. Even though I subbed olives on the pizza with meatballs, the pizza still had that olive taste, so maybe they still used olive juice on it somehow. It was your run of the mill greek-style pizza, not too much to write home about otherwise. I liked that it was loaded with cheese. The salad was a romaine lettuce base and the house italian was a creamy peppercorn vinaigrette. It comes with olives too, so if you abhor olives like me, make sure to ask for no olives on the salad if you order one. The big plus: open until Midnight on weekdays, which means if you are willing to get in your car, you're not stuck with Papa John's after 10pm, although it's an extra 5 minutes from Southside. I'd stll pick it over Formaggio's, though.

We really liked this place for the money. If you want to spend about 1.25 more than you would at a fast food joint and want Italian, go here. It's an old Krystal's that was re-done. They even have a TV that's has pics of the food and the name of it. That was helpful on choosing what we wanted. Depending on how much your child can eat. Let them eat off the adults menu. The child's portions are more for the 7 year olds rather than the 12 year old we have. But with the bread sticks and "sopping" up the sauce from my spaghetti and my wife's shrimp primavera, she left more than full.

Bland. That sums it up pretty nicely. Nothing special, nothing particularly good, nothing particularly bad. If someone asked me if I would recommend it, I would say no. It was sustenance and enjoyable only in that it suppressed my hunger, not because it was inherently tasty or memorable. Would I go again? No, probably not.

Nothing special. Food was not great (average at best) but I give it three stars because my kids liked it and it was so inexpensive.

Great pizza place especially if you don't eat pork. The pasta salad is really good. The calzones I love. Its vegetarian friendly as well as idk kosher friendly haha

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
