Awesome place. Very clean. Great service. There was a slight misunderstanding, but Karen was quick to explain. If I ever come back to Anchorage, I'll definitely stay here again..I loved the atmosphere. Loved the morning breakfast.

We stopped here on our way from Seward to Denali and were SO HAPPY to get off a long drive into the welcome and comfort of this place! We were greeted by a warm and friendly young lady who showed us around and gave us suggestions on where to eat. Our accommodations were spacious with fat comfy furniture to hang out on. In the bedroom was a bunk bed that delighted our little boy and a very comfy queen for my husband and me. There was a well appointed dining room and living space to spread out in, and everything was impeccably clean. We would absolutely suggest it for others!

We came here after check in and there was a letter with our name on it upon arrival with instructions on what to do. We got the apartment that is attached to the main house with a queen bed and bunk beds for 4 people. It was a very good sized space. There was also a kitchen in there that we didn't use. We were here when the Perseids meteor shower was going on, and we could actually get a really good view of the sky around 1:30 AM. There a little bit of light pollution from the buildings but we still see the stars clearly. We really enjoyed our breakfast here, fresh fruit, breads, coffee, tea and hot items were provided. It is buffet style served in a conference room like building. The grounds looked well kept and because we had booked it through hotels.com and the room was paid in full, there was no check out process. We asked the owner for recommendations in the area and we ended up going to the reindeer farm, hiking Hatcher Pass and visiting the Independence Mine Historical State Park. We would love to stay here again if we come back to Alaska, it was a really good midway stop between Seward and Denali.

Rude owners. My family stayed here while visiting my now husband and I for our wedding and vacation. I Their breakfast is awful. The pull out bed was horrible to sleep on. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. There are much better places to stay.

Reserved thru Expedia and paid in March for an August stay. Showed up and no room available. Blamed it on Expedia. Young lady (not owner) on desk was very apologetic, even recommending an alternate hotel and calling them for me. I would hire the clerk in a minute but I wouldn't book here ever again.

Our first visit to Alaska and this place was recommended by a bed and breakfast website. Prices are reasonable and the place is well kept. Small little cottages so you get a place "of your own". They bring your breakfast to your room and place it in your refrigerator so it's there for you for the following morning. The cottages are clean, modern, cute and comfortable. Almost makes you wish your was in it more than you are. Staff is friendly and you really do not see them at all after check in. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone coming into or passing through the Palmer area.

We stayed at this charming B&B the night before we made our way to the Alaska State Fair which was only about a 15 minute drive away. The minute we stepped into our cottage we were so pleasantly surprised, we had our own private cottage that was clean, modern and new. At the same time it was very inviting and reminded us of home. We were so sad that we were only staying one night! We would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone traveling through Palmer. I didn't make it to the breakfast but my husband did and he said that it was delicious and he met a lot of very nice people. We will most definitely stay here again the next time we are in Alaska and definitely will stay at least 2-3 nights to really take advantage of all of the wonderful amenities including kitchen, electric fireplace, two flat screen TVs, deep soaking tub and more! Can't wait to come back!

This cozy B&B is a welcome stop along the way. The hostess is a lovely woman who's an awesome cook! A great combo if you are looking for a home away from home for a couple of nights. Seven small cottages dot the property, along with some rooms in the main house. All are new and very well appointed. I recently spent 3 nights at the Alaska Garden Gate Bed and Breakfast. It was great. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The property is well maintained. It was a little over an hour drive to Talkeetna where we did some sightseeing tours. It is also a little over an hour's drive to the Matanuska Glacier. Anchorage is not a far drive either. So, the B&B is located in an area where you can easily travel to sites on very scenic roads. The host, Karen, could not have been more accommodating. She has plenty of suggestions for things to do while you're there. Breakfast, which was prepared fresh at the B&B, was left in the refrigerator in the room each afternoon so that you had it for the following morning. This way you are able to heat and eat whenever you'd like! Some days omelets and muffins, some days quiche and banana bread. All were delicious! The room had a coffee maker too and fresh ground coffee and filters all ready to go. I felt like I was at home, with none of the work! Stay at this place, you will not be disappointed!
